Dr. Barbara Hopkins specializes in Clinical Health Psychology, holding a PhD in the field. Currently, she serves as the Deputy Program Manager for JBER True North. Throughout her career, Dr. Hopkins has expertly facilitated and taught family life skills, relationship enhancement, and crisis intervention advocacy, especially for marginalized communities. She also boasts a broad background in diversity, inclusion, equity, equality, and accessibility (DEIA) and equal opportunity (EO) initiatives. Recognized for her exemplary contributions to social services and organizational congress, she has been honored with the U.S. Army Civilian Achievement and U.S. Army Civilian Commendation. These accolades specifically highlighted her leadership, human resource management, project management, team building, and process improvement efforts. Having a profound understanding of U.S. government operations and structures, Dr. Hopkins employs a vast array of qualitative and quantitative methods to enhance intricate management processes and overall program efficiency.
Outside her professional sphere, Dr. Hopkins fervently supports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. She is an active member of APA Div 44, focusing on the psychology of sexual orientation and gender diversity, and Leader of the Anchorage Ambi Chapter. Additionally, she contributes articles to the Bi Women’s Quarterly and often lends her expertise as a panelist and presenter for Walden University’s PhD Psychology Webinars. Dr. Hopkins proclaims she doesn’t have a job; she has passion projects: True North and Project Nomad.
